The Omnigraph
Here is a most curious device. The Omnigraph was designed as a teaching tool to help beginners learn Morse code and how to operate a telegraph station. It has a set of interchangeable metal discs which have teeth on them that trip an electrical contact on and off, producing the 'dots and dashes' of Morse code when connected to a speaker or sounder. Here is a photo of the nameplate on the device: www.wolfness.net
